Waltzing Matilda

I went to Cryptic Crosswords today.  I was pretty thick  and slow, along with everybody else.    It was like we had all gone backwards.      Well, it's a good laugh.   One woman has dropped out.   One woman came who wasn't there  last week but had attended a one day beginners course, she said.      She couldn't do it either. 

When we do practice examples on the blackboard (whiteboard as they are in modern times) nobody calls out the answers because nobody can get to an answer inside three days.

It is cold here and I have the heating on, the electric blanket on and the oil filled radiator on.

I just read Waltzing Matilda out loud ready for tomorrow.

 Two cats and the damage after the weekend gales.    I took them for a walk to the top of the garden this afternoon  to survey the  damage with them.  It is in their way when they go out.   They are looking at it.

There's daisies and dandelions on the lawn, and a cat out there and it looks warm but it is bloody cold,  reference to heaters in house tonight applies.

I had sausages and asparagus and chips for tea.
